The Space

McHoppity house is an attractive, cosy apartment over 2 levels in the beautiful seaside village of Crail. The cosy apartment sleeps up to 7 people in 3 bedrooms, and futon in the livingroom area. Served by 1 bathroom, has free on street parking  in front of the property.

Each room has been tastefully decorated in cosy colours, with quirky soft furnishings and decor throughout.  Please note that the apartment is situated directly above the local Co-Op convenience store, there may be some noise when deliveries are being made to the store in the morning, this can be heard from the double bedroom on the first floor. Free Wifi in the property, plus access to Amazon Fire TV stick. The accommodation layouts are as follows:

Ground Floor – Bedroom with 1 double bed, wardrobe and storage space. Fully equipped kitchen with seating area and washing machine. Family bathroom with WC and bath with shower over it. Open plan living room/dining area with a single futon bed located to the rear of the space. First Floor – 1 bedroom with double bed and ample storage, a second bedroom with 2 single beds and storage.  Decked patio area with garden furniture. Guests will have full access to the entire property. No rooms will be off limits and all contents within the flat are there for our guests use including wifi, the TV and the cooking implements. Smoking is not permitted within the property.

The Neighbourhood

Crail is a historic fishing village in the pretty East Neuk of Fife with charming cobbled streets that tumble down to the miniature harbour, which is sheltered by cliffs and surrounded by historic fishing cottages. Visitors flock to the harbour front for an ice cream and a stroll to see the fishing boats or to simply explore the timeless wynds within the village. In the summer, the Crail Food Festival is a treat for the senses. Visitors have been increasingly come to weddings at The Cow Shed which is nestled just outside Crail. There is plenty to explore while you are here including a heritage centre, galleries, local shops as well as local eateries such as delightful tearooms. Local amenities such as a bank machine and convenience store are also available. Within 15 minutes drive you have a plethora of the world’s best golf courses including the Old Course. 1 mins walk to town centre, 3 mins to Crail Harbour, 5 mins drive to The Cow Shed. Co-Op Supermarket in the town centre.

Getting Around

Everything in Crail is within walking distance. The bus routes are all frequent and easy to use. Taxis are available relatively easily and there is bus stop serving the East Neuk.  Everything in Crail is within walking distance.
